Identify a scrip supervisor for your organization
This person or persons will be responsible for initiating
group meetings and recruiting and organizing volunteers to
work the program. They will oversee the ordering process and
establish your Scrip chequing account. They also become your
in-house scrip "expert" and answer questions from your
participants about the program.
Provide BSI with basic
information about your organization
Fill out the
BSI Enrollment Application.
Your account will be set up within 48 hours of receipt of
your enrollment application, and a confirmation letter with
any additional new member documents will be sent to your
organization.
Work out the basics of
your program
Your organization's leaders will have a few decisions to
make before you begin your program. For instance, you must
determine:
• financial goals and uses of the scrip program proceeds -
"Wish List"
• bookkeeping methods (see enclosed information on scrip
management software)
• logistics for order pick-up and drop-off
• promotion plans for your organization's scrip program. BSI
can offer ideas and sample marketing documents
Schedule Introductory
Meetings
Introductory meetings are strongly encouraged to get your
scrip program up and running properly. The reason is
simple... many organizations may not understand the concept
at first, and informational meetings are the best way to
explain the program clearly. What's more, at the meetings,
organization members can learn about participating
businesses, order drop-off and pickup procedures, and
guidelines and procedure of your program.
Begin the Ordering Process
Volunteers sort the orders and total the various scrip
certificates needed from each participating retailer. Once a
week your order is Emailed to orders@blaineysscrip.com or
faxed to (905) 209-8996. Your completed order is shipped to
your organization via courier.
Carefully count the certificates you receive from BSI and
verify that your order is correct. Volunteers then fill each
individual family order and file for pick-up. |
